NEWHALL (CBSLA) — Two tankers have collided in the Newhall area on the 14 Freeway on Sunday, spurring the closure of all lanes.

The crash happened on Sand Canyon Road and caused a gas spill.

A SigAlert has been issued on the northbound 14 Freeway prompting the closure of all lanes as crews work to clean up the 4,800 gallons of gasoline.

The CHP doesn’t know how long the thoroughfare will be shut down.
