Pricey Watch Taken During Armed Robbery In West Hollywood
WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A $40,000 watch was taken during an armed robbery of a group outside a West Hollywood coffee shop.
A group of men flagged down police officers at about 10:30 p.m. Monday night in the area of Melrose and Westmount and said they had been robbed at gunpoint.
They told officers they had been in front of Urth Caffé when they were approached by the suspects, who demanded their property and got away with, among other items, a watch worth $40,000.
Los Angeles sheriff's deputies and Beverly Hills police set up a perimeter in the area of Waring and North Croft avenues in search of the suspects, but they were believed to have fled the scene.
No one was hurt.
