Street Resurfacing Work Expected To Cause Delays Near LAX

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Street resurfacing near Los Angeles International Airport is expected to cause delays for people driving to the airport.

The work is being down from 76th/77th Street to 84th Place along Sepulveda. Drivers were advised to use Kentwood Avenue, South La Tijera Boulevard or other alternative routes.

"The last thing we want is for travelers to be late for their flight, or under undue stress due to known traffic impacts," said Los Angeles World Airports Deputy Executive Director of External Affairs Trevor Daley.

Hours for the resurfacing project are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Anyone driving to LAX for a flight was advised to get there two hours in advance for a domestic flight and three hours before an international flight.
