Woman Sexually Assaulted While Walking In Manhattan Beach

MANHATTAN BEACH (CBSLA.com) – Police are looking for a man who they say sexually assaulted a woman in Manhattan Beach late Saturday night.

The sexual assault occurred June 17 at about midnight as the woman was walking to her car in the 800 block of Ardmore Avenue, according to Manhattan Beach police. The suspect approached the woman from behind, knocked her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.

The woman fought off the suspect, who fled and was last seen running west towards Valley Drive, police said. The victim sustained injuries during the struggle.

A sketch of the suspect has been released. He is described as Hispanic, about 30 years old, 5-foot-9, 180 to 200 pounds with a gray shirt and black sweat pants.

Authorities Friday released surveillance video of the suspect showing him just prior to the assault. Watch the video below:
