At Least 1 Dead, 2 Injured After Car, Pickup Truck, Motorhome Collide In Newhall

NEWHALL  (CBSLA.com)  —   Authorities said at least one person was killed and two more injured after a car, pickup truck and motorhome collided  in Santa Clarita Thursday evening.

Officials said the crash -- that happened around 7:30 p.m. -- involved three vehicles and it appeared the car and pickup truck may have collided head-on.

CBS2's Rachel Kim reported from the scene. She said officials could not determine if rain played a factor in the deadly accident.

The crash happened on Sierra Highway at Vasquez Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Three people were transported to a local hospital.  Kim reported the conditions of the other motorists was unclear.

Officials could not tell Kim which vehicle sustained the fatality.
