1 Dead, 2 Wounded In Shooting Outside Adult-Themed Pajama Party In Carson

CARSON (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of one man, and wounding of two others in Carson.

Carson deputies responded to the 100 block of West Victoria Street East just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday following an "assault with a deadly weapon" call.

When they arrived, they found three men all suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper torso.

All three were transported to the hospital, where one died. The other two victims were listed in fair condition at the hospital, and are expected to survive.

Authorities said the location was being used as a "pay for entry" party. When the incident occurred, it was estimated that there were 80 to 100 participants at the party, which was an adult-themed pajama party.

Authorities say deputies have identified potential witnesses to the shootings.

No weapons have been recovered at the scene. It remains unclear if the shooting is gang-related. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about this incident was asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
