YORBA LINDA (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff’s deputies sought the public’s help Wednesday to identify a man who’s suspected of stealing packages from the front porch of a residence in Yorba Linda.

Surveillance video captured the theft on Nov. 24, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Before the packages were stolen, the same man can be seen switching places with a woman in what appears to be a silver Honda Fit.

Detectives described the suspect as a Hispanic man who is believed to be in his early 20s, has a buzzed haircut, stands 5-foot-8 tall and weighs no more than 180 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants and dark shoes.

Police said the man may have a tattoo on his left hand.

Authorities said the Hispanic woman seen in the surveillance video has long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt, a dark jacket, grey pants and shoes.

The investigation is ongoing.

    Mail theft is out of control in the eagle glen community of Corona, ca. Yet you see and heat nothing about it. Once this happens in OC, its big news. This is literally a nightly occurrence.
