PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — A limited number of tickets for the Rose Bowl Game will go on sale Tuesday morning.

Tickets for the match up between Penn State and USC — which went on sale at 8 a.m. — are priced at $150.

Both teams will be playing in the Rose Bowl Game for the first time since 2009, when the Trojans defeated Nittany Lions, 38-24.

USC has won eight consecutive games after a 1-3 start.

Penn State has won nine consecutive games after a 2-2 start.

The game will be played on Jan. 2 because of Tournament of Roses’ “Never on Sunday” policy, which began with the Rose Parade, then extended to the football game.

Not true. Ticketmaster actually sold no tickets today at 8am. Within 10 seconds, the website said no tickets were available. 99% of the tickets had been sold before general tickets were even offered. All of them just went straight to secondary market websites.
