Anti-Trump Protesters Block 10 Freeway In Boyle Heights Area

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Anti-Trump protesters blocked lanes of the westbound 10 Freeway in the Boyle Heights area Thursday afternoon.

Protesters congregated at around 3 p.m. on the westbound 10 Freeway near the N Eastern Ave. exit, as well as on a nearby overpass.

Traffic was backed up considerably on the westbound side of the freeway. Traffic was also slowed on the eastbound side.

Mayor Eric Garcetti said Thursday that he supports peaceful demonstrations, but admonished protesters to stay off freeways.
