Prescription Drug Mail Thief Caught On Camera, Infuriates Couple

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — When Alexandra and Jeff Jackson didn't receive their prescription medications, they checked their security video. Seven minutes into the tape, a man swiped it all.

"I was pissed. It was the first time I had ever experienced something like that," Jeff Jackson said.

Their security video shows the man parked his car in front of their home and nonchalantly took the boxes and mail.  The theft left the Jacksons worried their identity could be in danger also.

"I was infuriated, it was broad daylight the guy had some gaul," Alexandra Jackson.

It was mid-October right before the Jacksons were about to take off for their Hawaii vacation. They were forced to go without their needed medicine.

"It definitely affected my well-being, my health," Jeff said.

The couple says their prescriptions were worth a couple hundred dollars. And it pains them to think where they are now.

"He probably looked at it and said oh I don't want this and just threw it in the trash," Andrea said.

They've filed a police report but hope someone recognizes the man to prevent others from becoming victims.

"Anything we could do to get the word out to stave this off especially with the holiday season coming up," Alexandra said.
