2 Women Recovering After Being Stabbed Inside Echo Park Bar
ECHO PARK (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say two women were recovering Sunday after being stabbed at an Echo Park bar.
The incident unfolded overnight inside the Gold Room on Sunset Boulevard at Echo Park Avenue.
According to police, the women were approached by an intoxicated man, who is accused of stabbing both inside the bar.
One of the women was stabbed in the face, while the other was stabbed in the torso area.
Both were transported to the hospital and were expected to survive.
Police said the incident does not appear to be gang-related.
The suspect was subsequently arrested and was being booked on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder.
