Mountain Lion Suspected Of Killing Goats In Murrieta
MURRIETA (CBSLA.com) — When Jason Reid's neighbor told him three of his goats were killed, he suspected it was a mountain lion.
Reid then set up a wildlife action camera out by his pool in his Murrieta neighborhood.
He left the pool gate open, too, suspecting the animal would be looking for water. His pictures show the big cat taking the bait and walking into the pool area as the camera snapped a photo.
Reid and his neighbor live at the base of the Santa Ana mountains.
"My son usually walks up to the bus stop at 6 in the morning. He's not doing that anymore. We are going to drive him up," Reid said.
Keep your small pets indoors and call wildlife services if you see a mountain lion.
