Body Found During Search For Missing Swimmer In Hermosa Beach

HERMOSA BEACH (CNS)   —   A swimmer went missing in the water off Hermosa Beach Thursday just before 6:45 p.m.

A man's body was found several hours later, authorities said.

The swimmer was first reported missing  near the Second Street lifeguard tower, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Investigators are trying to determine if the unidentified man took his own life.

Witnesses said the man took off all his clothes and ran into the surf.
