605 Freeway Reopens In Santa Fe Springs Following Deadly Crash

SANTA FE SPRINGS (CBSLA.com) — All southbound lanes of the 605 Freeway reopened Tuesday following a deadly crash in Santa Fe Springs.

The multi-vehicle crash was reported shortly after 4:30 a.m. near Telegraph Road, just north of the 5 Freeway.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

CBS2's Mark Dunn reported seven other victims were treated for injuries that were sustained in the crash.

KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO's Jon Baird reported all lanes of the freeway reopened shortly after 8:30 a.m.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
