Arizona Residents Arrested In Connection With 2015 Killing Of Phelan Man

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they have made two arrests in connection with the 2015 killing of a 39-year-old Phelan resident.

Dale Brewster, 45, and Debbie Harris, 48, both of Kingman, Arizona, were taken into custody late last month.

Both are accused in the death of 39-year-old Allan Rick Godfrey, whose body was found in a shallow grave in Llano.

Authorities say the victim lived on the suspects' property in Phelan. Brewster, according to authorities, had reported that he had been involved in a physical fight with the victim.

He reportedly told authorities that Godfrey ran from the property after the fight.

Shortly after, Godfrey's family had reported him missing. The incident occurred back in April 2015, authorities said.

It wasn't until Dec. of 2015 when authorities located remains, which were later identified as that of Godfrey.

Both Brewster and Harris were arrested on Friday, Sept. 23, and booked suspicion of murder. Their bail amounts have been set at $1 million each.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation was asked to contact Detective Tina Kirby or Sergeant Greg Myler at (909) 387-3589.
