Daycare Worker Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Children Over 3-Year Period

SANTA ANA (CBS.com)  —  The Santa Ana Police Department on Thursday arrested a daycare worker they say sexually assaulted children for at least the past three years.

Larry Montanez, now 63, was arrested in the assaults of the victims at Anne's Daycare in the 2100 block of South Ceder Street in Santa Ana.

Authorities believe Montanez assaulted at least three children and believe there are other victims.

The three alleged victims were each under the age of 10 when the assaults began three years ago. The most recent assault occurred Tuesday to a 6-year-old, Santa Ana police said.

Montanez lived at the daycare center, licensed from 2001 through 2008, and again from 2010 through 2016.
