Auto Theft Suspect Arrested After Lawndale Standoff
LAWNDALE (CBSLA.com) — An auto theft suspect was arrested Wednesday following a standoff involving a hostage in a Lawndale home, authorities said.
The standoff began about 9 a.m. in the 14900 block of Osage Avenue, where the man was holding a woman hostage, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
A SWAT team and crisis negotiators were sent to the scene, and the man was taken into custody early Wednesday afternoon.
His name was not immediately released.
