Pro-Palestinian Protesters Decry Hillary Clinton Outside Beverly Hills Fundraiser
BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Pro-Palestine activists marched near Haim Saban's Beverly Hills home Monday, where a star-studded fundraiser was being held in honor of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
Carrying signs that said "Gloria La Riva 4 President" and "My Feminism includes Palestine," a few speeches were given before the protestors marched down the sidewalk, waving Palestinian flags.
"Money equals speech, and the people that can give more money seem to be the ones the politicians listen to," said Lauren Steiner, with Our Revolution Los Angeles, adding that appearing at a fundraiser at Saban's home "is showing her true colors."
"Palestinian human rights are not for sale," she said. "She needs to care a little more about the Palestinian people."
Clinton will conclude her fundraising swing through Southern California in Laguna Beach Tuesday night.
