Flight Schedule Back To Normal At Long Beach Airport After Stranded Military Plane Blocks Runway

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com)  —  Arrivals and departures were on time Saturday at Long Beach Airport, after a military jet blocked runways Friday.

The airplane, a T-38, became disabled on Runway 30 around 11:15 a.m. Friday. The plane blew two back tires on landing making it impossible to wheel the craft away. The pilot was not injured.

Seventeen flights coming into the airport and 17 going out were either canceled of delayed for hours.
