SAN MATEO ( — Jacqeline Adan once tipped the scales at 500 pounds. Her life began to change after a humiliating day at Disneyland, where she got stuck in a turnstile.

“I kind of got unstuck,” said Adan. “I clawed my way out of there, didn’t make eye contact with anyone.”

Adan now has about 30 pounds of excess skin. It’s being taken off through a series of surgeries, but Adan isn’t shy about showing her body, excess skin and all. She’s posted a series of photos of herself on Instagram to inspire others.
