Happy Anniversary: 7-Eleven Offers Free Slurpees, Wienerschnitzel Selling 55-Cent Hot Dogs
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Turns out July 11 is much more than just another Monday - it's a fast-food holiday.
7-Eleven is marking the 50th anniversary of the Slurpee, the chain's trademark frozen beverage, by offering free small Slurpee drinks from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all participating 7-Eleven stores across the Southland.
As part of the celebration, 7-Eleven has also launched several Slurpee-themed treats, including Slurpee-flavored candy, Chapstick, and donuts, along with a new Birthday Cake Slurpee flavor.
And if you're looking for a snack to go with your Slurpee, Wienerschnitzel is slashing the price of three of its hot dogs to 55 cents each in celebration of the company's 55th anniversary.
For just one day only, customers can get an original Chili Dog, Mustard Dog, or Kraut Dog at the discounted price, with a maximum of 10 dogs per customer.
