LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Lakers’ top draft pick Brandon Ingram had an excellent debut as the team opened up their Summer League season against the Pelicans.

The No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft made an impact early, scoring, blocking shots and rebounding.

Fellow rookie Ivica Zubac played well defensively and added 11 points and 5 rebounds.

Last year’s top pick for the Lakers, D’Angelo Russell, also had a very impressive night, scoring 20 points while also adding 11 rebounds and 6 assists.

The Lakers ultimately won the game 85-65.
