LA Man Marries Cellphone In Ceremony At Little Vegas Chapel

LAS VEGAS (CBSLA.com) — Maybe there's a reason they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Last month, Aaron Chervenak of Los Angeles married his cellphone in a ceremony at the Little Vegas Chapel.

The chapel owner says he's married a lot of strange couples.

But as Michael Kelly explains, Chervenak wanted to make a point about how dependent people are on their phones.

"People are so connected to their phones and they live with them all the time. They're with them 24 hours a day. They go to sleep with their cellphones. They wake up with their cellphones. Sometimes, it's the first thing that they check," said Kelly.

Luckily, the union, unlike a cellphone provider's contract, is nonbinding.
