Burger King To Serve 'Mac N' Cheetos' In Latest Fast Food Snack Mashup

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Popular fast food chain Burger King will soon be serving Mac n' Cheetos, which are deep fried sticks of macaroni and cheese encrusted in Cheetos-flavored breading.

The new product emerged from a partnership with PepsiCo Inc.'s Frito-Lay, the company that owns Cheetos, Doritos, and Ruffles.

The idea to move into the fast food world is similar to the strategy used by Yum! Brands with Taco Bell, which introduced the Doritos Loco Taco shell in 2012.

Mac n' Cheetos will be offered in packs of five for a limited time starting on June 27.
