CBS2’s Brittney Hopper said police are eager to catch the man before he strikes again.

Neighbors who watched the video told her the man doesn’t live in their building, and they didn’t recognize him.

The man was also caught on security video checking unlocked cars.

Triathlete Joy Di Palma says the man stole her bike.

“I’m scared now in my own home to see this guy brazenly walking through the hallways trying to get into open doors and into cars. It’s creepy,” Di Palma said.

Di Palma mostly used the bike to take her 4-year-old son to the park and for also training for an Iron Man competition.

She worries about what the alleged thief will do next.

“If he ups this and waits for someone to carjack or someone runs into him while he’s in the building or any of the buildings around here. I’m worried that someone could get hurt next,” Di Palma said.

She says a building just a half a block away got hit three times in one month with a suspect matching the same description. Police are investigating.

Police warn even if your car is parked in an underground garage, always lock your car and take your valuables.
