Big Rig Lands On Its Side Across All Lanes Of 14 Freeway In Agua Dulce

AGUA DULCE (CBSLA.com) — A jackknifed big rig is laying across all four lanes of the southbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, prompting a SigAlert for all lanes and forcing some motorists to drive the wrong way in order to get around the accident.

The crash, at Escondido Canyon Road, happened just before 4 a.m. Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The truck apparently ran along the right side of the road before it lost control and landed on its left side.

The SigAlert was initially issued at 4:23 a.m. for two hours. No injuries were reported.

Vehicles are being escorted off the freeway at Escondido Canyon Road, while the onramp has been closed while authorities work to clear the crash. The carpool lane was opened to traffic after 8:08 a.m., according to the CHP.
