Bomb Squad Investigates Possible Explosive Device Found In Car In WeHo

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A possible explosive device has been located within a vehicle in West Hollywood, authorities said Friday.

According to the West Hollywood Sheriff's Department, deputies were conducted a traffic stop just before 5:30 a.m. in the 7700 block of Santa Monica Boulevard.

Authorities located a possible explosive device inside of the vehicle.

A bomb squad was called to assist at the scene.

Traffic is being diverted from Santa Monica Boulevard onto Fountain Avenue until further notice.

One person was detained at the scene.
