Miniature Horse Rescued From Riverside Street Reunited With Owner

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — A miniature horse has been reunited with its owner after it was rescued last week from the streets of Riverside.

The 6-year-old horse named Pinpon was discovered in the 10400 block of Arlington Avenue about 1 a.m. Thursday, according to the Riverside County Department of Animal Services.

When an animal control officer responded to the scene, she loaded Pinpon onto a trailer. The horse appeared to have sustained an injury and had a cut above its eye.

After seeing Pinpon on the news, authorities say its owner, Eduardo Lemus, came to the shelter.

The horse was subsequently reunited with Lemus, who believes it had been purposely taken from his Riverside property.
