Guidroz was booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run in the death of a bicyclist, Valencia resident Roderick Bennett, 53, in Santa Clarita.

According to deputies, Guidroz struck Bennett with his 2014 Lexus CT200h SUV around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday on Placerita Canyon Road just east of the 14 Freeway.

Paramedics pronounced Bennett dead at the scene. He was a math teacher and a band director at Arroyo Seco Junior High School in Valencia.

At this time, Guidroz remains jailed in lieu of $50,000.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at the North Valley Superior Court in San Fernando.
