NEWHALL (CBSLA.com) — Officials Thursday released the identity of a 53-year-old bicyclist who was killed in an apparent hit-and-run collision near Santa Clarita.

Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s deputies said the Mazda has a roof rack and a possible broken windshield.

The crash is being investigated by California Highway Patrol officers.
