Woman Accused Of Taking Sons During Supervised Court-Ordered Visit At McDonald's

LAKE ELSINORE (CBSLA.com) — A woman is accused of snatching her two sons during a court-ordered visit in El Monte, police said.

Around noon Saturday, the father of the boys, ages 10 and 6, dropped them off at a McDonald's restaurant on Valley Boulevard for a supervised visit with a court monitor and their mother.

Police said the court monitor left momentarily and returned to find that the children and their mother were no longer at the restaurant.

The mother was identified by police as Emily Lynn Moon, 32, of Lake Elsinore.

Moon is described as a 5-foot-tall white female with a thin build. She has blonde hair and hazel eyes.

"There is no suspected threat to the children's physical health or well-being," police said.

Anyone with additional information as to the whereabouts of Moon or her two boys was asked to call El Monte police at (626) 580-2114.
