Vehicle Erupts In Flames After Car-To-Car Shooting Wounds 1 In Torrance
TORRANCE (CBSLA.com) — A vehicle erupted in flames Sunday after a car-to-car shooting left one man wounded in Torrance.
The shooting unfolded near an off-ramp of the 405 Freeway and ended near Lawndale where the car burned quickly and completely about 2:30 a.m.
Police said the vehicle was shot at while exiting the thoroughfare in Torrance. It continued before coming to a stop and erupting in flames. Police say the gas tank was likely hit by a bullet.
There were five people in the car that was fired on, including a 24-year-old man who was shot. He was transported to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
A woman in the car sustained minor injuries, possibly from broken glass.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting were unknown.
Police said the victims were not cooperating with the investigation.
