ROWLAND HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — The owners of a Rowland Heights jewelry store Monday released security video in hopes of helping police catch five brazen attempted robbers.

As soon as they rushed in, they were forced to turn around and run right back out. One the suspects was seen tripping and falling as he was running off along with his cohorts.READ MORE: Man Shot While Walking Dogs In Hollywood, 2 French Bulldogs Stolen
A store employee, who could not go on camera, said Monday that the suspects shot at the security guards as they were storming the store. The guards returned fire. One of them jumped off the second floor balcony to dodge bullets. He was not hit.

This attempted robbery came almost a year after a man walked off with a watch. A security guard shot at the thief who was later caught.
