GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — The Glendale Police Department on Friday announced the arrests of a mother and daughterr for their role in the hit-and-run last month that left an 81-year-old pedestrian dead.
Goar Davtyan, 67, of Glendale was taken into custody just before 6 p.m. Investigators had previously identified Davtyan as a person of interest early on in the investigation.READ MORE: Villanueva 'Disappointed' After DA Reportedly Declines To Prosecute Alleged Hate Incident
An arrest was not immediately made at the time until additional evidence was collected and processed.
Davtyan was charged with felony hit & run and felony vehicular manslaughter. Officials said the case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing considerations.
The fatal hit-and-run happened around 8 p.m. on April 16. The man was crossing Broadway at the intersection of Belmont Street when he was struck by a white sedan, likely a Camry.

Police said he was legally crossing when he was struck.
