College To Award Posthumous Degree To San Bernardino Attack Victim

SAN BERNARDINO (AP) — A posthumous degree will be awarded to a student who died in the San Bernardino terror attack.

Los Angeles Harbor College says it will honor the memory of Aurora Godoy by recognizing her as a member of its Class of 2016 during a board of trustees meeting Wednesday.

The 26-year-old was among 14 people killed in the rampage Dec. 2.

Dr. Otto Lee, president of LA Harbor College, will present Godoy's family with her Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. The school says her husband, James Godoy, and their 2-year-old son, Alexander will be on hand.

Rizwan Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, carried out the attack on a gathering of his co-workers. The attackers were killed in a same-day shootout with police.
