LAPD Hosting Gun Buyback Events In Mission Hills And South LA
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Handguns, shotguns and rifles can be exchanged for $100 Ralph's grocery gift cards, and guns classified by the state as assault weapons can be exchanged for $200 gift cards at two gun buyback events Saturday.
The events are to be held at the following locations:
Los Angeles Sports Arena
3939 S. Figueroa St.
Los Angeles, CA 90037
Facey Medical Group
11165 Sepulveda Blvd.
Mission Hills, CA 91345
There is no limit to the number of firearms that can be surrendered. However, there may be a limit on the number of gift cards an individual can receive.
Gun owners giving up their firearms need to bring them unloaded inside locked containers or stored inside their vehicle trunks.
CBS2 and KCAL9 are sponsors of this year's events, in an effort to get illegal guns off the street.
