LANCASTER (CBSLA.com) —  Divers found a car in an aqueduct in Lancaster Saturday.

The discovery was made along Lancaster and 205th Streets, officials said.

CHP said they found tire tracks that led from the side of the aqueduct into the water.

Authorities said the car entered the water several days ago. There was no word if there were witnesses to the accident.

Divers searched for possible victims.

The car was towed out of the water but no one was found in side, officials said.

Authorities are also trying to determine if the vehicle was stolen.
