STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Police asked for the public’s help Wednesday to identify an armed man who robbed two gas stations – in Studio City and the Cahuenga Pass – in less than four hours.
The robberies took place on April 9 at 1:50 a.m. in the 12500 block of Ventura Boulevard near Whitsett Avenue in Studio City and at 5:40 a.m. in the 3700 block of Cahuenga Boulevard in the Cahuenga Pass, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.READ MORE: Garcetti: 88,000 Vaccines To Be Given Out During The Week At City Sites
In both robberies, the suspect entered the gas station, confronted an employee with a gun, and demanded cash and cigarettes.
The suspect was described as Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old, 5-foot-11, about 200 pounds, with a possible “lazy” left eye. He was last seen driving a red four-door 2015 Chevrolet Cruze with a sunroof.READ MORE: 'I Was Desperate': Prince Harry And Meghan's Bombshell Interview
Both robberies were captured on surveillance video.
