Inside, music by Prince fills the air and his photos hang on the purple walls.
“I didn’t want this place to be like ‘in your face Prince,’ but I wanted to make it very clear that everyone in here is a very big Prince fan and we appreciate everything he has done,” said salon owner Ashley Largey.
Largey is also a master stylist at her salon she named it after his song, “Darling Nikki.”
“The whole premise of the salon, it was always going to be a Prince-themed salon,” she said. “The first thing we came up with was the name.”READ MORE: Food Truck Crashes In Vernon; One Dead
Largey was so upset over the news of his death she got a Prince tattoo to add to her already purple hair.
“Prince was my favorite musician. I just thought he was a genius. So incredibly talented,” she said.
She hopes to use temporary purple hair to help with one of Prince’s causes.
“We are going to be doing individual purple hair extensions. One for $10, three for $25. And all the proceeds will be donated to a charity that Prince supported,” she said.MORE NEWS: `Solidarity' Cited In New Deal For 40k Behind-the-Scenes Film & TV Workers
