$10K Reward Offered For Gunman Wanted In Deadly Compton Shooting

COMPTON (CBSLA.com) — City officials offered a $10,000 reward Friday for information that would lead to the arrest of the person responsible for the shooting death of a 25-year-old man in Compton.

During a news conference, the victim's sister, Gladys Lucio, sought the public's help to search for Roberto Lucio's killer.

"Help us find him," Lucio pleaded. "Any little detail matters right now. What's important is to find him because I think we should stop him before he does it to anybody else."

On June 28, 2015, a gunman opened fire on Lucio, his 1-year-old daughter and girlfriend as they walked near their Compton home in the middle of the afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Lucio was pronounced dead at the scene. His girlfriend and daughter did not sustain physical injuries.

A preliminary investigation revealed the gunman fired his weapon from inside of a vehicle.

Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect and a photograph of his vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
