Officer-Involved Shooting Reported Near 1st And Mission In Boyle Heights
BOYLE HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — A command post has been set up near 1st and Mission in Boyle heights Sunday evening following reports of an officer-involved shooting.
The LAPD confirms they are working an officer-involved shooting.
The shooting allegedly took place on Park Paseo Place, just south of the 101 Freeway, around 8 p.m.
Desmond Shaw in Sky9 said details "were sparse" but the Hollenbeck division of the LAPD was working the scene.
Later he reported that police said they encountered a home burglary suspect and that the suspect was hit.
It was unclear if the suspect was armed. The suspect's wounds were not considered life-threatening. The suspect was not transported to a hospital.
The homeowner was not injured. No officers were injured, police said.
