TEMPLE CITY (AP) — Los Angeles County authorities have arrested a 37-year-old suspect on suspicion of killing a man whose body was found in the trunk of an abandoned car in Monterey Park last month.

Police broke into the car parked in the 5500 block of Sultana Avenue on March 21 after residents reported a foul odor and found 30-year-old Min Gu.

Sheriff’s homicide detectives say Gu was shot in a marijuana grow house in Temple City. Investigators suspect he was killed as a result of a financial dispute.

The suspect, Andy Chen of San Gabriel, was arrested Monday and held on $1 million bail.
