Man Shot To Death By Security Guard During Fight In Santa Ana Bar
SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said a man was fatally shot during a fight Friday with an armed security guard at a Santa Ana bar.
Officers dispatched at 9:27 p.m. Friday to the El Coral Bar, 1902 S. Standard Ave., found the victim lying in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Santa Ana Police Sgt. Eric Rivas.
The armed security officer was not injured.
The deceased has been identified as 37-year-old Leonel Bucio of Santa Ana.
A Facebook page of someone with the same name says his father was shot in the neck and that [tomorrow, Sunday] "was gonna be your birthday."
It was not immediately known if the guard was arrested, said Rivas, who added that the investigation was ongoing.
