WATCH: Angels OF Mike Trout Orchestrates Epic April Fools Joke On Teammate Garrett Richards
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Athletes are known for pranking each other on April Fools Day, but this stunt pulled by Mike Trout raised the bar.
It all started when Trout went out to lunch with fellow Angels Garrett Richards, Jered Weaver, and Kole Calhoun.
A woman (an actress) approaches the table, saying she is a big Angels fan, and eventually reveals she needs advice on how to break up with her boyfriend.
Richards and the group give her some tips, and that's that.
Fast forward to later in the meal, a man (also an actor) approaches the group saying he is about to propose to his girlfriend.
He says the plan was too originally have the waiter bring out the ring to his girlfriend, but since she is an Angels fan, he now thinks it would be a better idea if Richards, his girlfriends favorite player, were to bring her the ring instead.
Keep in mind Richards has no idea the girl he is about to propose too is the same one who asked him for advice on how to break up with his boyfriend just moments earlier.
It is not until Richards reaches the table with the ring, does he realize that it's the same girl from earlier, and his reaction is absolutely priceless.
