SANTA BARBARA (CBSLA.com) — An exhibit at the Santa Barbara Zoo featuring a baby Masai giraffe born over the weekend will be open to the public Saturday.

The zoo says the calf named Chad may or may not be on view on exhibit in the coming weeks depending on his needs.

But for the first time, Chad will be featured in the exhibit from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Chad on Monday measured in at 191 pounds and is over 6 feet tall.
