Crews put out the flames and freed the woman – who was in full cardiac arrest — from the plane, county fire Capt. Keith Mora said. She was taken to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The aircraft was an Airborne XT-912, a light-sport, weight-shift-control plane, according to the Federal Aviation Administration’s Ian Gregor.
