Search Continues For Shooter Who Wounded Man In Marina Del Rey

MARINA DEL REY (CBSLA.com) — A 45-year-old man wounded in Marina del Rey shooting is expected to survive and the search for suspect continues, authorities said Monday.

Deputies responded at about 12:15 p.m. Sunday to a report of a person down in the 14000 block of Panay Way, Los Angeles County sheriff's Detective Clarence Williams said.

When they arrived, deputies found the victim being treated by the Los Angeles County Fire Department for an apparent gunshot wound to his body, Williams said.

He was taken to a hospital, where he is expected to survive, according to sheriff's Sgt. K. Harrison.

Detectives did not have a suspect description available.
