Dozens Of Chewbacca Impersonators Blowing Up Man's Phone With Calls

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A Virginia man's phone would not stop ringing, thanks to an online prank that was out of this world - kind of.

A recent Craigslist ad asked people to call Blake Webb and deliver their best impression of Chewbacca from "Star Wars." The ad promises that the caller with the best impression would win $50.

The thing is, Webb never posted the ad. In fact, he said he has never seen "Star Wars."

Webb said he has received more than 60 calls since his friends put up the ad as a prank last week.

"Most of the time, they would just go: 'Hey, is this the guy from Craigslist?' And I was like: 'What?' (imitating Chewbacca) And I was like: 'Hello!' They'd be like: 'Is that good?' And I'd be like: 'Yeah, that was pretty good,' " Webb said.

He is being a good sport and said he will keep the ad up until May 4, which is "Star Wars Day." That is when fans are encouraged to say: "May the 4th be with you" to mark the day.

Webb said he is planning a revenge prank on his friends.
