Twenty minis are at the Triple R (Rescue, Rehabilitate, Re-Home) Horse Rescue in Cave Creek, Arizona. The animals were rescued from a breeder in Texas.
The Ranch wants to place the minis in forever homes — preferably in Arizona. They want to be able to check up on the donkeys from time to time to make sure they are being cared for.READ MORE: Fourth Officer Who Responded To January 6 Attack Dies By Apparent Suicide
On the pet scale, fully-grown minis will weigh between 200-350 pounds — so you might not want one jumping into your lap. Unlike cats or dogs, though, the donkeys will live for 25-35 years.
Adoption fee is $400 and they want to adopt the animals in pairs, because they are pack animals and when alone get anxious and lonely.
