PACOIMA (CBSLA.com) — CicLAvia is prompting a 4-mile stretch of road from Pacoima to Panorama City to be closed to vehicle traffic Sunday.

From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., a portion of Van Nuys Boulevard between San Fernando Road and Roscoe Boulevard will belong to bicyclists, pedestrians and others looking to spend time outdoors with family, friends and neighbors.

Van Nuys Boulevard will be reopened to cars by about 5:30 p.m. Expect medium-to-long delays on nearby streets if you must drive or travel by bus that day, according to the CicLAvia website.

Actor Danny Trejo will join Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and other city leaders to kick off the event at 8:30 a.m.

Hubs in Panorama City, Arleta and Pacoima will offer up food, art and activities. CicLAvia is a street festival promoting greener ways to get around town.

More than a dozen CicLAvia events have been held throughout Los Angeles County. Sunday's festival is the second to take place in the San Fernando Valley.
